Process Development Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a motivated Process Development Engineer to join their facility in Milton Keynes . This role is critical for driving innovation and improvement in their manufacturing processes. You will be involved in the entire lifecycle of process development, from initial concept and laboratory testing through to pilot scale and full production implementation. This is a hands-on role based entirely on-site, requiring close collaboration with manufacturing, R&D, and quality assurance teams to achieve project objectives and maintain operational excellence. The successful candidate will be a key contributor to our client's ongoing success and technological advancement in the chemical industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize chemical processes for new and existing products.
• Conduct laboratory experiments and pilot-scale trials to validate process designs.
• Analyze experimental data and prepare comprehensive reports with recommendations.
• Troubleshoot process issues and implement solutions to improve efficiency and quality.
• Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure processes adhere to safety and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate closely with the engineering and production teams on site.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
• Experience in process development, scale-up, or manufacturing support.
• Proficiency in laboratory techniques and data analysis.
• Understanding of process safety principles and hazard analysis.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for on-site collaboration.
• Familiarity with GMP or relevant industry standards is a plus.
