About the Role
Our client is looking for a dedicated Process Development Engineer to join their innovative facility in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role is central to enhancing and refining our manufacturing processes, ensuring they are both efficient and cost-effective. You will work closely with the production and engineering teams to troubleshoot operational challenges and implement new technologies. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize chemical manufacturing processes to improve yield, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
- Conduct pilot plant trials and scale-up studies for new or modified chemical processes.
- Analyze process data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and potential areas for innovation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues encountered during production runs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, quality control, and operations, to ensure seamless process implementation.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of process development activities and results.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in process development, scale-up, and optimization within the chemical industry.
- Familiarity with process control systems and statistical process control (SPC).
- Experience with laboratory equipment and pilot plant operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
