Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize chemical processes for new product introductions and existing product improvements.
- Conduct laboratory experiments and pilot plant trials to validate process designs.
- Analyze experimental data, perform statistical analysis, and generate comprehensive reports.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure environmental compliance.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including SOPs and batch records.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related scientific discipline.
- Proven experience in process development, scale-up, and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of chemical reaction engineering, separation processes, and process control.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools and statistical software.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with experience in the Birmingham region.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
