Process Development Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Process Development Engineer to join their innovative team in Coventry . This role focuses on the research, development, and scaling-up of new chemical processes and products. You will play a critical role in translating laboratory findings into viable industrial applications, ensuring efficiency, safety, and sustainability. Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute experiments to develop and optimize chemical processes in the lab and pilot plant scales.
• Analyze experimental data to identify critical process parameters and define operating ranges.
• Develop scale-up strategies and create process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
• Perform cost estimations and techno-economic assessments for new process technologies.
• Collaborate closely with research scientists and plant engineers to ensure seamless technology transfer.
• Prepare technical reports and present findings to management and project stakeholders.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemical Engineering , Chemistry, or a related discipline.
• Experience in process development, scale-up, or pilot plant operations.
• Proficiency with process simulation tools and statistical analysis software.
• Knowledge of common chemical unit operations and reaction engineering principles.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document technical work accurately.
