About the Role
Our client is seeking an innovative and experienced Process Development Scientist to join their advanced manufacturing facility in Belfast . This role is central to the development and optimization of novel manufacturing processes for our cutting-edge products. You will conduct laboratory-scale experiments, analyze results, and scale up processes to pilot and commercial production. Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute experiments to develop, optimize, and scale up manufacturing processes.
- Analyze experimental data using statistical methods and advanced analytical techniques.
- Develop and validate new analytical methods for process monitoring and control.
- Troubleshoot process-related issues and implement solutions to improve yield, purity, and efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure smooth technology transfer from R&D to production.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- PhD or Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related scientific discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in process development and optimization within a relevant industry (e.g., pharmaceuticals, biotech, advanced materials).
- Strong understanding of reaction kinetics, thermodynamics, and scale-up principles.
- Proficiency in analytical instrumentation (e.g., HPLC, GC, MS, NMR) and data analysis software.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a systematic approach to research.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
