Process Engineer - Continuous Improvement

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated Process Engineer focused on Continuous Improvement to join their operations in Derby . This role is integral to enhancing the efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness of our manufacturing processes. You will analyze existing workflows, identify areas for optimization using data-driven approaches, and implement solutions that align with Lean Manufacturing principles. This hybrid position offers a great opportunity to collaborate with teams on-site while also providing the flexibility of remote work for analysis and reporting tasks, contributing to a culture of ongoing advancement.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and waste reduction.
• Analyze production data to determine root causes of quality issues and inefficiencies.
• Develop and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency.
• Lead and participate in Kaizen events and other continuous improvement workshops.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to achieve operational goals.
• Track and report on the performance of implemented improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in process engineering or continuous improvement.
• Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing tools and methodologies (e.g., 5S, Value Stream Mapping).
• Proficiency in data analysis and statistical process control (SPC).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills for working in a hybrid team environment.
