Process Engineer - Manufacturing Optimization

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic Process Engineer to join their team in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, UK , with a hybrid working model. You will be responsible for analyzing and optimizing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying bottlenecks, implementing innovative solutions, and collaborating with production, engineering, and management teams. You will play a key part in driving operational improvements and ensuring the company maintains a competitive edge in the manufacturing sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
• Design, develop, and implement new processes or modifications to existing ones to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
• Utilize Lean Manufacturing principles and tools such as 5S, Kaizen, and value stream mapping.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality control, to implement process changes.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training materials.
• Monitor the performance of implemented processes and conduct regular reviews to ensure sustained improvements.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding and practical application of Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
• Proficiency in process simulation and data analysis software.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to challenges.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaunt with all levels of the organization.
