Process Engineer (Manufacturing)

About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and technically proficient Process Engineer to join their manufacturing team in Derby . Key Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for enhancement using data-driven methods.
• Design, implement, and validate new or improved production processes and equipment to increase throughput and reduce waste.
• Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
• Conduct capability studies and implement statistical process control (SPC) to ensure consistent product quality.
• Collaborate with production teams, maintenance, and quality assurance to troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and equipment to improve manufacturing capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a process engineering or industrial engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
• Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proficiency in process mapping, data analysis, and problem-solving techniques.
• Experience with CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools is a plus.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for effective on-site collaboration.
