Process Engineer - Manufacturing

About the Role

Our client seeks a detail-oriented and innovative Process Engineer to join their bustling manufacturing facility in Birmingham . You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and R&D, to implement process improvements and troubleshoot manufacturing challenges. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
• Design, develop, and implement new production processes and technologies to enhance output and product quality.
• Conduct trials and experiments to validate process changes and measure their impact.
• Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
• Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to troubleshoot process-related issues and implement effective solutions.
• Monitor key process performance indicators (KPIs) and report on findings and recommendations to management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial) or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Process Engineer or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of process optimization techniques, statistical process control (SPC), and Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Proficiency in process simulation software and CAD tools is advantageous.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a methodical approach to identifying root causes.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
