About the Role
Our client is looking for a diligent Process Engineer to enhance their pharmaceutical manufacturing operations in Derby . This role is focused on the optimization, validation, and continuous improvement of processes involved in the production of life-saving medicines. You will work within a highly regulated environment, ensuring compliance with GMP standards while driving efficiency and quality. Key Responsibilities
- Optimize and troubleshoot existing pharmaceutical manufacturing processes (e.g., granulation, tablet compression, liquid filling).
- Lead process validation activities and develop validation protocols (IQ, OQ, PQ).
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma.
- Ensure all processes comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with R&D, Quality Assurance, and Manufacturing teams on new product introductions and process changes.
- Develop and maintain detailed process documentation and engineering drawings.
- Support equipment qualification and preventative maintenance programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in process engineering within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
- Strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) .
- Experience with process validation and qualification activities.
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment and unit operations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
