Process Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an innovative and analytical Process Engineer to join their manufacturing operations in Leeds . Key Responsibilities

• Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
• Design, develop, and implement new production processes and technologies to increase output and reduce waste.
• Develop and conduct trials for new process materials, equipment, and methods.
• Create and maintain process documentation, including flowcharts, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and technical reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of process changes and troubleshoot issues.
• Monitor process performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Process Engineer or in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Proficiency with process simulation software and CAD tools is advantageous.
• Ability to communicate technical information effectively to diverse audiences.
