About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Process Engineer to join their innovative manufacturing team based in Cardiff . This role is central to optimizing and streamlining production methodologies, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality across various manufacturing lines. You will be responsible for analyzing existing processes, identifying areas for enhancement, and implementing data-driven improvements. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement in terms of speed, cost, and quality.
- Develop, test, and implement new manufacturing processes and technologies to enhance productivity and product consistency.
- Create and maintain detailed process documentation, including flowcharts, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions.
- Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and production teams to ensure seamless integration of new processes and products.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency and quality, reporting findings and recommendations to management.
- Troubleshoot process-related issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective actions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a process engineering role, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
- Solid understanding of process simulation, statistical process control (SPC), and lean manufacturing principles.
- Proficiency in process mapping software and data analysis tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a systematic approach to process improvement.
- Strong ability to communicate technical information effectively to diverse audiences.
