About the Role
Our client is seeking an innovative Process Engineer to join their dynamic manufacturing team in Norwich . This role is vital for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. You will leverage your engineering expertise to troubleshoot complex issues, drive continuous improvement, and support the introduction of new products and technologies. This hybrid position offers a balanced approach, combining essential on-site process analysis and collaboration with the flexibility of remote data analysis and planning. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and a passion for operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement efficient and cost-effective manufacturing processes.
- Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement in yield, throughput, and quality.
- Develop and implement lean manufacturing initiatives to reduce waste and optimize workflows.
- Troubleshoot process-related issues, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with R&D, design, and production teams to ensure smooth product scale-up and implementation.
- Create and maintain process documentation, including SOPs, PFDs, and P&IDs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of process design, optimization techniques, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Proficiency in process simulation software and data analysis tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
- Experience with automation and control systems is a plus.
