About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and analytical Process Engineer to join their innovative manufacturing facility in Belfast . This role is critical in analyzing, designing, and implementing improvements to manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain the highest quality standards. You will work hands-on with production teams and machinery to identify bottlenecks, troubleshoot issues, and implement sustainable solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who is passionate about optimizing industrial operations and driving tangible improvements within a dynamic production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Design, develop, and implement new processes and technologies to meet production goals.
- Troubleshoot process-related issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training materials.
- Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality teams to ensure seamless process integration and performance.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for production processes and report on findings.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Proven experience as a Process Engineer or in a similar role within a manufacturing setting.
- Strong understanding of process optimization techniques, statistical process control (SPC), and lean manufacturing principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software and simulation tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
