About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and innovative Process Engineer to enhance their manufacturing operations in Leeds . This role is central to optimizing production processes, increasing efficiency, and reducing costs while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. You will analyze existing manufacturing methods, design and implement improvements, and troubleshoot complex technical challenges. The successful candidate will have a strong analytical mindset and a passion for driving operational excellence within a demanding industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
- Design, develop, and implement new processes or modify existing ones to enhance efficiency, yield, and product quality.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and production teams to ensure smooth process implementation and scale-up.
- Conduct trials, pilot runs, and validation studies for new processes and equipment.
- Monitor process performance using key metrics and provide regular reports to management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
- Proficiency in process simulation software and data analysis tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
- Experience with process control systems and automation.
