About the Role
Our client is looking for a diligent Process Engineer to join their team in Cardiff . This role focuses on designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain high-quality output. You will play a key role in analyzing process performance, identifying bottlenecks, and developing innovative solutions. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with production, R&D, and quality assurance departments, ensuring that our manufacturing operations are at the forefront of industry standards and technological advancements, contributing to sustained operational excellence and product innovation within our Welsh facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Design and implement new processes, technologies, and equipment to enhance production capabilities.
- Develop and maintain process documentation , including SOPs and flow charts.
- Monitor process performance and implement control strategies to ensure consistent quality and output.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new product introductions and process validation.
- Troubleshoot process-related issues and conduct root cause analysis.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a process engineering role, preferably within manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of process simulation, data analysis, and statistical process control (SPC).
- Experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
- Proficiency in relevant process engineering software and tools.
