About the Role
Our client is seeking an innovative and analytical Process Engineer to optimise their manufacturing operations in Cardiff . This hybrid role offers a dynamic blend of on-site engagement and remote work, allowing for in-depth analysis and strategic planning. You will be instrumental in improving production efficiency, reducing waste, and enhancing product quality through the design and implementation of new processes and technologies. This position is perfect for an engineer who can bridge the gap between practical, on-site problem-solving and strategic, remote process development.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost, and quality.
- Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes and technologies, both on-site and remotely.
- Conduct process validation, testing, and documentation to ensure successful implementation and compliance.
- Collaborate with production, R&D, and maintenance teams to troubleshoot process issues and implement solutions.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and provide training to operational staff.
- Utilise data analysis tools and simulation software to model and predict process performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of process optimisation techniques, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Proficiency in process simulation software and CAD tools.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration in a hybrid environment.
