About the Role
Our client is looking for a highly analytical and innovative Process Engineer to join their expanding manufacturing operations based in Coventry . This role is crucial for optimizing production processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring the highest standards of product quality. You will be responsible for identifying bottlenecks, developing solutions, and implementing changes that drive operational excellence. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and a passion for continuous improvement in a manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing production processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes and technologies to meet production goals.
- Conduct process simulations and trials to validate improvements before full-scale implementation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues that arise on the production floor.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive process documentation, including SOPs and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, quality assurance, and production staff, to ensure seamless integration of process changes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of process optimization techniques , statistical process control (SPC), and lean manufacturing principles.
- Experience with process simulation software and data analysis tools.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration.
