About the Role
Our client is seeking an innovative Process Engineer to join their dynamic manufacturing team based in Cardiff . This role focuses on optimizing production processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety are maintained. You will analyze existing manufacturing methods, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions that enhance throughput and reduce operational costs. This is a critical position that requires a strong analytical mindset and a passion for engineering excellence, contributing directly to the company's competitive edge in the market.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
- Design, develop, and implement new processes to improve product quality, efficiency, and yield.
- Conduct feasibility studies and trials for new process technologies and equipment.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Work closely with production teams to troubleshoot process issues and provide technical support.
- Monitor process performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
- Knowledge of process simulation and modeling software is advantageous.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
