About the Role
Our client is seeking an innovative and analytical Process Engineer to join their manufacturing operations in Derby . You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing production processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality. This role requires a deep understanding of manufacturing systems, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and R&D. Your expertise will be crucial in driving continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring our client maintains a competitive edge through superior manufacturing capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for optimization and cost reduction.
- Design, develop, and implement new production processes and technologies.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production process issues to minimize downtime and ensure product quality.
- Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to support new product introductions.
- Monitor process performance using data analysis and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Process Engineer or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of process simulation, statistical process control (SPC), and Lean manufacturing principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in CAD software and relevant process modeling tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
