About the Role

Our client is seeking an innovative and analytical Process Engineer to join their manufacturing operations in Derby . You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing production processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality. This role requires a deep understanding of manufacturing systems, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and R&D. Your expertise will be crucial in driving continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring our client maintains a competitive edge through superior manufacturing capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for optimization and cost reduction.
Design, develop, and implement new production processes and technologies.
Develop and maintain process documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
Troubleshoot and resolve production process issues to minimize downtime and ensure product quality.
Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to support new product introductions.
Monitor process performance using data analysis and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Process Engineer or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of process simulation, statistical process control (SPC), and Lean manufacturing principles.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in CAD software and relevant process modeling tools.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
