Process Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Process Engineer to join their established team, focusing on optimizing manufacturing and production processes. This role is critical for ensuring the efficiency, quality, and safety of all operational procedures. You will be responsible for evaluating current systems, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions that enhance productivity and reduce waste. The successful candidate will work closely with production staff, management, and other engineering disciplines to drive operational excellence within their facilities located in Leeds .

Key Responsibilities

• Design, test, and implement improved manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Analyze process data to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, including flowcharts and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with the quality team to ensure processes meet regulatory and customer requirements.
• Lead or participate in continuous improvement projects using methodologies like Six Sigma.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
• 3-5 years of experience as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of process control, statistical process control (SPC), and problem-solving techniques.
• Experience with process simulation software is a plus.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills for on-site collaboration.
