About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and analytical Process Engineer to join their innovative manufacturing team based in Cardiff . This role is crucial for optimizing and improving the efficiency, safety, and quality of our manufacturing processes. You will work collaboratively with production, engineering, and R&D teams to design, implement, and monitor process improvements that enhance throughput and reduce operational costs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering principles and a passion for driving continuous improvement in a dynamic industrial setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for optimization.
- Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes or modify existing ones to improve performance, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and manage process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process flow diagrams.
- Conduct trials and pilot runs for new processes and equipment, ensuring successful implementation.
- Troubleshoot process-related issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and impact on production.
- Stay abreast of new technologies and methodologies in manufacturing process engineering.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Proficiency in process simulation software and statistical analysis tools.
- Excellent understanding of manufacturing operations, safety protocols, and quality standards.
