About the Role
Our client is looking for an analytical and innovative Process Engineer to join their manufacturing team in Cardiff . This role focuses on optimizing production processes, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring product quality through systematic analysis and implementation of engineering solutions. You will work closely with production teams and management to identify bottlenecks, reduce waste, and improve overall operational performance. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost, and quality.
- Design, develop, and implement new or modified processes and equipment.
- Conduct trials and tests to validate process changes and document findings.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and provide training to production staff.
- Troubleshoot process-related issues and implement corrective actions to ensure operational stability.
- Collaborate with R&D, quality assurance, and production teams on new product introductions and process upgrades.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the UK .
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in process simulation and data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly.
- Familiarity with process control systems and industrial automation.
