Process Improvement Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Process Improvement Engineer to join their established operations in Birmingham . This role is crucial for enhancing operational efficiency and product quality by applying advanced engineering methodologies. You will be responsible for evaluating current manufacturing processes, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing data-driven solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process optimization and a passion for driving tangible improvements within a manufacturing environment. Working in Birmingham , you will collaborate closely with production teams to ensure seamless integration of new processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the identification and implementation of process improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma tools.
• Conduct detailed analysis of production data to pinpoint bottlenecks and waste in manufacturing operations.
• Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for new and existing processes.
• Facilitate cross-functional teams in problem-solving sessions and continuous improvement projects.
• Implement and manage change control processes to ensure effective adoption of improvements.
• Track and report on the performance of implemented solutions, ensuring they meet predefined objectives.

Requirements

• Degree in Industrial Engineering , Operations Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in process engineering or continuous improvement roles.
• Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Minitab, or similar statistical software.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects from conception to completion.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing systems and technologies.
