About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and analytical Process Improvement Engineer to join their team in Bristol . This role is focused on driving efficiency, reducing waste, and enhancing the overall quality and productivity of manufacturing operations through the application of lean methodologies and continuous improvement principles. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement, develop solutions, and implement changes that deliver tangible business results. This hybrid role offers a stimulating blend of on-site analysis and strategic planning, contributing to a culture of innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate process improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing tools such as value stream mapping, 5S, and Kaizen events.
- Analyze current production processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for cost reduction.
- Develop, pilot, and implement new processes and procedures to enhance operational performance and product quality.
- Collect and analyze data to measure the effectiveness of implemented changes and report on key performance indicators.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure successful adoption and sustainment of improvements.
- Develop and deliver training programs to educate staff on new processes and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in process improvement or lean manufacturing roles.
- Demonstrated expertise in lean Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Experience with process mapping, statistical analysis, and project management.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and change management skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software, including Minitab and Visio.
