About the Role
Our client is looking for a motivated and analytical Process Improvement Engineer to join their operations team in Leeds, West Yorkshire . In this hybrid role, you will be instrumental in identifying inefficiencies and implementing innovative solutions to optimize our manufacturing processes. You will work closely with production staff, engineers, and management to analyze workflows, reduce waste, and enhance overall productivity and quality. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost, and quality.
- Design, develop, and implement new process methodologies using tools such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
- Conduct time studies, value stream mapping, and other analytical techniques to understand process performance.
- Develop and deliver training programs to production staff on new or improved processes.
- Monitor the impact of implemented changes and make adjustments as necessary to ensure sustained improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot production issues and implement effective solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience (minimum 4 years) in process improvement or operations engineering roles within manufacturing.
- Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a plus).
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis tools and techniques.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with all levels of the organization.
- Experience with CAD software and process simulation tools is advantageous.
