Process Improvement Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an innovative and analytical Process Improvement Engineer to join their fully remote team. This role is pivotal in driving operational excellence and efficiency across all manufacturing and production activities, regardless of physical location. You will leverage your expertise in process optimization, lean methodologies, and data analysis to identify and implement transformative improvements. Working collaboratively with distributed teams, you will develop strategies that enhance productivity, reduce costs, and elevate product quality, contributing significantly to the company's forward-thinking approach to manufacturing in the digital age.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for enhancement.
• Develop and implement strategic process improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
• Design and oversee pilot projects for new processes or technologies, tracking their impact.
• Create detailed documentation, including process maps, standard operating procedures, and training materials.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, and R&D, in a virtual environment.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on the effectiveness of implemented improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in process improvement, operations management, or manufacturing engineering.
• Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and process modeling software.
• Excellent remote communication and collaboration skills.
