Process Improvement Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated Process Improvement Engineer to join their team in Stoke-on-Trent , with a hybrid working arrangement. This role is centered on identifying and implementing enhancements to manufacturing and operational processes, aiming to boost efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality. You will play a key role in driving continuous improvement initiatives, working collaboratively with production teams, engineers, and management to achieve operational excellence. The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, and eager to make a significant impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate continuous improvement projects using Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
• Analyze production data to identify root causes of inefficiencies and quality issues.
• Develop and implement process improvements, documenting changes and training relevant personnel.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to pilot and roll out new operational procedures.
• Monitor the effectiveness of implemented improvements and make necessary adjustments.
• Contribute to the development of a culture of continuous improvement within the organization in Stoke-on-Trent .

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing preferred) or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a process improvement or industrial engineering role.
• Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma (certification is a plus), and Kaizen events.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, effective in both on-site and remote interactions.
• Familiarity with process mapping tools and project management techniques.
