About the Role
Our client requires a dedicated Process Improvement Engineer to enhance operational efficiency at their facility in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role is pivotal in driving a culture of continuous improvement, focusing on streamlining workflows, reducing inefficiencies, and implementing best practices in a manufacturing setting. You will work closely with operational teams to identify areas for enhancement and implement data-driven solutions that lead to measurable improvements in productivity and cost reduction. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the identification, analysis, and implementation of process improvements across manufacturing and operational departments.
- Utilize Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies to drive waste reduction and efficiency gains.
- Develop and implement performance metrics to track the effectiveness of improvement initiatives.
- Facilitate cross-functional teams to brainstorm solutions and drive project completion.
- Conduct root cause analysis for process failures and implement sustainable corrective actions.
- Train and mentor colleagues on process improvement techniques and best practices.
Requirements
- Degree in Industrial Engineering , Operations Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in process improvement or industrial engineering roles.
- Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt is highly desirable.
- Experience with statistical analysis software and process mapping tools.
- Strong ability to influence stakeholders and manage change effectively.
- Excellent analytical skills and a data-driven approach to problem-solving.
