About the Role
Our client is seeking a motivated Process Improvement Engineer to join their team in Birmingham . In this role, you will be instrumental in analyzing, optimizing, and streamlining manufacturing and operational processes to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve quality. You will work closely with operational teams to identify inefficiencies, implement lean methodologies, and drive sustainable change. This hybrid position offers a balance of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility, allowing you to contribute to significant operational advancements within our client's established framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed analyses of current production processes to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for efficiency gains .
- Develop and implement lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce waste and improve workflow.
- Design and pilot new processes, procedures, and equipment configurations to enhance operational performance.
- Train and mentor operational staff on new processes, tools, and continuous improvement techniques.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of process improvements across departments.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of implemented changes, making adjustments as necessary.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in process improvement, lean manufacturing, or operations engineering.
- Demonstrated experience with Six Sigma (Green Belt certification preferred).
- Proficiency in data analysis, process mapping, and problem-solving techniques.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing environments and operational workflows.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
