About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Process Improvement Engineer to join their innovative team in Edinburgh . You will be instrumental in identifying and implementing enhancements to manufacturing processes, aiming to boost efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall product quality. This hybrid role offers a blend of on-site collaboration and remote work flexibility, allowing you to contribute effectively to our client's continuous improvement initiatives. You will work closely with production staff and management to analyze workflows and implement effective solutions within our manufacturing operations, based out of Edinburgh .
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement and efficiency gains.
- Design, test, and implement new processes and technologies to optimize production output.
- Develop and execute project plans for process improvement initiatives, ensuring timely completion.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and quality assurance.
- Document process changes, train staff on new procedures, and monitor their effectiveness.
- Utilize Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to drive waste reduction and quality enhancements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical) or a related field.
- Proven experience in process improvement roles, ideally within the manufacturing sector.
- Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data.
- Excellent project management and communication skills.
- Experience with process mapping and simulation tools is a plus.
