Process Improvement Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking an analytical and proactive Process Improvement Specialist to join their operations in Reading . This role is dedicated to identifying inefficiencies and implementing solutions to enhance operational performance across the manufacturing and production departments. You will leverage methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma to drive continuous improvement initiatives. This hybrid role allows for flexibility, combining focused work at the Reading office with remote analysis and project management, ensuring optimal productivity and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse current production processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
• Develop and implement Lean Six Sigma projects, including process mapping, root cause analysis, and solution design.
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions on process improvement methodologies for staff.
• Monitor the implementation and effectiveness of improvement initiatives, making adjustments as needed.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure buy-in and successful adoption of new processes.
• Create reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to process improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in process improvement, preferably with Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data.
• Excellent project management and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proficiency in process mapping tools and data analysis software.
• Effective communication and presentation skills, suitable for a hybrid work environment.
