About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and analytical Process Improvement Specialist to join their manufacturing operations based in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role is crucial in identifying inefficiencies and implementing data-driven solutions to optimize production workflows and enhance overall operational performance. You will work closely with various departments to streamline processes, reduce costs, and improve product quality. This position offers a blend of on-site collaboration and remote flexibility, allowing for effective engagement across the organization. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Design and implement process improvements using methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
- Collect, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency and quality.
- Facilitate cross-functional team meetings to brainstorm and implement process changes.
- Conduct training sessions for staff on new processes and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in process improvement, Lean manufacturing, or Six Sigma projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.
