About the Role
Our client is looking for a dedicated Process Industrial Engineer to join their operations team in Belfast , contributing to the optimisation of manufacturing and production processes. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a systematic approach to improving workflow, reducing waste, and enhancing overall operational efficiency. You will work closely with production staff and management to implement and monitor process changes, ensuring they align with company goals and industry best practices. This hybrid role offers a balanced approach, allowing for valuable on-site collaboration while providing some flexibility for remote work, fostering a productive and modern working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze production data to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for cost reduction.
- Design, test, and implement improved manufacturing processes and workflows.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality.
- Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives using lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Collaborate with quality assurance and maintenance teams to ensure process reliability and safety.
- Train production staff on new processes and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in an industrial engineering or process improvement role.
- Solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles and waste reduction techniques.
- Proficiency in process mapping, data analysis, and simulation software.
- Experience with project management and cross-functional team collaboration.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
