Process Industrial Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Process Industrial Engineer to contribute to their operational efficiency in Southampton . This role is crucial for refining and standardizing production processes, ensuring high levels of quality and output. You will work closely with production teams to identify inefficiencies, implement lean methodologies, and drive continuous improvements that support business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in industrial engineering principles and a proactive approach to problem-solving within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and map current state manufacturing processes to identify waste and inefficiencies.
• Design and implement improved process flows, layouts, and material handling systems.
• Develop and maintain accurate work instructions, standard operating procedures, and process documentation.
• Lead Kaizen events and other continuous improvement activities on the shop floor.
• Track and report on key process performance metrics, suggesting corrective actions as needed.
• Train production personnel on new processes and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in a process engineering or industrial engineering role.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles (e.g., Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Poka-Yoke).
• Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to drive decisions.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite; experience with CAD or process simulation software is a plus.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
