Process Optimization Engineer - Food & Beverage

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for optimization.
• Develop and implement process improvements using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other methodologies.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality assurance teams to trial and implement new process designs and modifications.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on process efficiency and cost savings.
• Ensure all process changes comply with food safety standards (e.g., HACCP) and regulatory requirements.
• Support the design and commissioning of new equipment and production lines.

Requirements

• BSc in Chemical Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in process engineering or optimization within the food & beverage or consumer goods industry.
• Proven experience with process analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
• Familiarity with food processing equipment and technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, suitable for a collaborative Nottingham -based workforce.
