Our client, a prominent name in the food and beverage industry, is looking for a skilled Process Optimization Engineer to join their team in Nottingham . This role is vital for enhancing production efficiency, product quality, and sustainability across their manufacturing operations. You will analyze existing processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement innovative solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for optimization.
- Develop and implement process improvements using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other methodologies.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality assurance teams to trial and implement new process designs and modifications.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on process efficiency and cost savings.
- Ensure all process changes comply with food safety standards (e.g., HACCP) and regulatory requirements.
- Support the design and commissioning of new equipment and production lines.
Requirements
- BSc in Chemical Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in process engineering or optimization within the food & beverage or consumer goods industry.
- Proven experience with process analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
- Familiarity with food processing equipment and technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, suitable for a collaborative Nottingham -based workforce.
