Process Optimization Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive Process Optimization Engineer to join their team in Norwich . This role is essential for driving continuous improvement across our chemical manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for analyzing process data, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing solutions to enhance yield, reduce costs, and improve product quality and sustainability. Working closely with plant operations and management, you will play a key role in maintaining our competitive edge through efficient and effective processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze process data to identify key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement strategies for process optimization, waste reduction, and energy efficiency.
• Conduct trials and experiments to validate proposed process changes.
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to ensure successful implementation of improvements.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including SOPs and performance reports.
• Stay informed about new technologies and methodologies for process enhancement.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in process engineering, with a focus on optimization and continuous improvement.
• Proficiency in process data analysis, statistical analysis, and simulation tools.
• Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles is advantageous.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively across different departments.
