Process Optimization Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Process Optimization Engineer for a remote position, supporting their chemical manufacturing operations with a key focus on their site near Norwich, Norfolk . Key Responsibilities

• Analyze plant operational data to identify bottlenecks and areas for process optimization.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve process yield, energy efficiency, and product quality.
• Utilize process simulation and modeling tools to test and validate optimization solutions.
• Collaborate with plant engineers and operators to implement process changes and improvements.
• Conduct feasibility studies for new technologies and process upgrades.
• Develop performance metrics and dashboards to track process efficiency and identify trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in process engineering, with a strong focus on process optimization .
• Proficiency in data analysis, statistical process control (SPC), and design of experiments (DOE).
• Experience with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, CHEMCAD).
• Strong understanding of chemical manufacturing principles and unit operations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently.
