About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and analytical Process Optimization Engineer to join their team in the historic city of Oxford . This role is dedicated to enhancing the efficiency, yield, and sustainability of existing chemical manufacturing processes. You will employ advanced analytical techniques, simulation tools, and operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement practical solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze operational data from existing chemical processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for optimization.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve process yield, reduce energy consumption, and minimize waste generation.
- Utilize process simulation and modeling tools to evaluate the impact of proposed changes.
- Collaborate with plant operations, maintenance, and R&D teams to implement process improvements.
- Conduct pilot studies and trials to validate optimized process parameters before full-scale implementation.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and provide training to operational staff on optimized processes.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in process engineering, with a specific focus on process optimization and continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in process simulation software and data analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of chemical unit operations and process control strategies.
- Experience with statistical analysis and Design of Experiments (DOE).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
