Process Optimization Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive Process Optimization Engineer to enhance the efficiency and performance of their chemical manufacturing operations in Nottingham . This role is dedicated to identifying bottlenecks, implementing process improvements, and utilizing data analytics to drive significant gains in productivity, yield, and cost-effectiveness. You will work closely with plant engineers and operators to implement changes and monitor their impact. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze existing chemical processes to identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency improvements.
• Develop and implement strategies to reduce cycle times, increase yields, and minimize waste.
• Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis tools to monitor process performance.
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to implement process changes and improvements.
• Conduct feasibility studies and pilot tests for proposed optimization initiatives.
• Document process changes, performance improvements, and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in process optimization within the chemical or manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in process simulation and data analysis software.
• Strong understanding of chemical engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing methodologies is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
