Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Process Optimization Engineer to join their entirely remote team. You will leverage advanced data analytics, process modeling, and innovative methodologies to identify bottlenecks, reduce waste, and improve overall process performance. Working independently and collaborating virtually with engineering and operations teams worldwide, you will drive significant improvements without the need for physical presence at a specific site. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze large datasets from chemical processes to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement data-driven strategies for process optimization, focusing on yield, energy efficiency, and throughput.
- Utilize advanced modeling and simulation techniques to predict the impact of process changes.
- Collaborate remotely with site-based engineering teams to implement optimization initiatives and provide technical guidance.
- Develop best practice guidelines and standard operating procedures for optimized processes.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for management, detailing optimization results and recommendations for our remote operations.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related quantitative field.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience focused on process optimization, data analysis, and statistical process control (SPC).
- Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., Python with Pandas/NumPy, R) and simulation tools.
- Strong understanding of chemical engineering principles and industrial manufacturing processes.
- Excellent remote communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work autonomously.
- Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and drive measurable improvements in efficiency and cost reduction across remote global operations.
