About the Role
Our client is looking for a motivated Process Optimization Engineer to join their innovative team, remotely supporting operations primarily focused around Sheffield . This role is dedicated to enhancing the efficiency, throughput, and cost-effectiveness of chemical manufacturing processes through data analysis and the application of advanced engineering principles. You will identify bottlenecks, implement process improvements, and leverage technology to drive continuous operational excellence. This fully remote position provides an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to apply their expertise and drive significant improvements from anywhere in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze process data to identify opportunities for yield improvement, waste reduction, and energy efficiency.
- Develop and implement optimization strategies for chemical production processes.
- Utilize statistical methods and modeling tools to understand process variability and control.
- Collaborate with plant engineers and operators to implement process changes and monitor their effectiveness.
- Document process improvements, best practices, and standard operating procedures.
- Stay updated on new technologies and methodologies for process optimization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in process engineering with a focus on optimization.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
- Experience with process simulation and modeling tools is highly desirable.
- Excellent understanding of chemical unit operations and process control.
- Effective communication and remote collaboration skills.
