About the Role
Our client is looking for a proactive Process Optimization Engineer to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of their chemical manufacturing operations in Oxford . This role is focused on identifying bottlenecks, analyzing performance data, and implementing data-driven solutions to improve throughput, quality, and cost-effectiveness. You will work closely with plant engineers and operators to streamline processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate has a strong analytical mindset and a proven ability to deliver tangible results in process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze process data to identify areas for improvement in yield, efficiency, and energy consumption.
- Develop and implement optimization strategies for existing chemical processes.
- Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and other analytical tools to monitor and improve performance.
- Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to implement process changes and ensure successful integration.
- Troubleshoot process deviations and implement corrective actions to maintain optimal performance.
- Document optimization initiatives, results, and best practices for the Oxford facility.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in process engineering with a focus on optimization.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Python for data analysis, Minitab) and simulation software.
- Strong understanding of process control and statistical methods.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
