Process Safety Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous and experienced Process Safety Engineer to join their engineering team in Bradford, West Yorkshire, UK . Key Responsibilities

• Conduct Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) studies, Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs), and Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA).
• Develop and implement process safety management (PSM) systems and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and best practices in process safety.
• Perform risk assessments and recommend mitigation measures for process hazards.
• Provide expert advice on process safety design, modifications, and operational integrity.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Significant experience as a Process Safety Engineer in the chemical, petrochemical, or oil and gas industry.
• Strong understanding of PSM elements and their application.
• Proficiency with process safety analysis tools and methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
