About the Role
Our client is looking for a meticulous and organised Procurement Administrator to support their purchasing department in Cambridge . This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the procurement function, involving administrative tasks, data management, and communication with suppliers and internal teams. You will assist in managing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and maintaining procurement records, playing a key part in the efficiency of the supply chain. Key Responsibilities
- Process purchase requisitions and generate purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain and update procurement databases, supplier information, and contract files.
- Track orders and deliveries, ensuring timely receipt of goods and services.
- Liaise with suppliers to resolve queries regarding orders, invoices, and deliveries.
- Provide administrative support to the procurement team, including scheduling meetings and preparing reports.
- Assist in the review of invoices against purchase orders and delivery confirmations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably within a purchasing or finance department.
- Excellent organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with colleagues and suppliers.
