Archer Mac is delighted to be supporting NHS Resolution in their search for a Procurement Advisor to join a busy, high-performing Commercial and Contracts team.

NHS Resolution exists to resolve concerns fairly, share learning for improvement, and preserve resources for patient care, and this role sits right at the heart of how that promise is delivered.

As Procurement Advisor, you'll be the go-to expert for contract and procurement matters across the organisation, working closely with business areas, Arms' Length Bodies, the Department of Health and Social Care, the Government Commercial Agency and suppliers to keep procurement running smoothly, compliantly and efficiently.

Reporting to the Corporate Commercial Contracts Lead, you'll advise internal stakeholders on the best procurement routes for their requirements, develop evaluation methods for tenders, and prepare and publish tender documentation from start to finish. You'll analyse business cases, produce procurement reports for senior management, DHSC and the Cabinet Office, and complete performance reviews of contracted services and SLAs. You'll also play a hands-on role in shaping how NHS Resolution procures: developing policy and procedure, implementing a Procure-to-Pay process that reduces off-contract spend, and maintaining an accurate, well-governed contracts database.

This is a role for someone who's equally comfortable with the detail and the relationships, confident advising senior stakeholders one day and drafting a watertight tender document the next, with the tact to handle contract disagreements and supplier complaints when they arise.

We're looking for someone with genuine expertise in EU and public procurement regulation and contract management, built through experience or relevant training. You'll bring excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong influencing and negotiation ability, and the organisational discipline to manage a varied, sometimes unpredictable workload against tight deadlines. Experience using the Atamis sourcing platform and a P2P system is essential, as is a working knowledge of the Equality Act, Freedom of Information Act and Data Protection Act. A relevant qualification (such as CIPS) or experience of public sector tendering would be an advantage, though not essential.
