About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Analyst with a focus on Indirect Spend to join their purchasing department in Nottingham . This role is crucial for optimizing expenditure on non-operational goods and services by providing in-depth data analysis and insights. You will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting on spend data, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and supporting strategic sourcing initiatives. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze indirect spend data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
• Develop and maintain spend dashboards and reports to provide visibility into procurement performance.
• Support the procurement team in developing category strategies and conducting market intelligence gathering.
• Assist in the evaluation of supplier proposals and contract compliance monitoring.
• Collaborate with finance and other departments to ensure accurate spend classification and budget alignment.
• Identify and quantify potential savings through various sourcing and negotiation strategies.

Requirements

• Proven experience (2-4 years) as a Procurement Analyst, Data Analyst, or in a similar analytical role focused on spend analysis.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Familiarity with indirect procurement categories is a significant advantage.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly and concisely.
