Procurement Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a data-driven and analytical Procurement Analyst to join their procurement department in Oxford . This role is crucial for providing insights into spend patterns, supplier performance, and market dynamics to support strategic decision-making within the purchasing function. You will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting on procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities, enhance efficiency, and mitigate risks. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a meticulous approach to data management, and a solid understanding of procurement principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and interpret procurement data , including spend, supplier performance, and market intelligence.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to visualize key procurement metrics and trends.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and risk reduction within the supply chain.
• Support sourcing and negotiation activities by providing data-driven insights and recommendations.
• Monitor supplier performance against agreed-upon KPIs and contract terms.
• Assist in the development and implementation of new procurement policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a procurement, finance, or data analysis role, with a focus on spend analysis and reporting.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel , including advanced functions, pivot tables, and data visualization.
• Experience with procurement software or ERP systems is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly and concisely.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Supply Chain, or a related analytical field.
