About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Procurement Analyst to join their procurement department based in Reading , working remotely. This role is crucial for providing data-driven insights and support to the procurement team, enabling informed decision-making and process optimization. You will be responsible for analyzing spend data, monitoring market trends, and supporting the development of sourcing strategies. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, proficiency in data manipulation tools, and a solid understanding of procurement processes. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze procurement spend data to identify cost-saving opportunities and trends.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for procurement performance tracking.
- Support category managers with market intelligence and supplier analysis.
- Assist in the preparation of RFx documents and bid analysis.
- Monitor key procurement metrics and identify areas for process improvement.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity within procurement systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or a related quantitative field.
- 1-3 years of experience in an analytical role, preferably within procurement or finance.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and data visualization tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively in a remote setting.
