About the Role
Our client is looking for a data-driven and analytical Procurement Analyst to join their growing team in Plymouth . This role is responsible for providing critical insights and data support to the procurement department, enabling informed decision-making and process improvements. You will be involved in spend analysis, market intelligence gathering, and performance reporting, playing a vital role in optimizing the company's purchasing activities. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive spend analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and areas for consolidation.
- Gather and analyze market intelligence to inform sourcing strategies and supplier selection.
- Develop and maintain procurement dashboards and performance reports for key stakeholders.
- Support the procurement team in supplier evaluation, contract reviews, and risk assessment.
- Assist in the implementation of new procurement systems and process improvements.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy across all procurement-related databases.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in data analysis, preferably within a procurement or finance context.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data modeling) and ideally BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of procurement processes and supply chain management.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present data effectively, suitable for a hybrid role in Plymouth .
